Where are you from?

I have lived in Falmouth for the past 32 years. I grew up just outside of Boston.

How did you initially get into the horse industry?

My daughter Gina started riding at a local farm on her 6th Birthday. I fell in love with the whole atmosphere and camaraderie. I started riding about a year later! I was asked to ingate at a horse show and thought it would be a great way to supplement the cost of my daughter showing. After a few years of ingating I started announcing! The rest is history. I have been a horse show announcer and USEF Jumper Judge for the past 15 years.

How did you get into equine sports wellness?

5 years ago I became the CWD saddle rep in the Northeast area. I was fascinated with how a good fitting saddle relieved so many issues the horse was experiencing. I am grateful for my training in France. We learned about horse anatomy, movement and issues that the horse may be having due to improper equipment. A few years later I learned about the amazing benefits of PEMF.

What's a typical day like for you?

Right now I am rehabbing my mare, Bailey from a soft tissue injury. I try to start my day early! I ride her (trotting 7 mins now) and make sure she is set for the day and then I head off to my Magna Wave appointments. Most of my customers have know me since my ingate days so we have a long relationship. They trust me to do what is best for their horse.

Can you briefly explain Magna Wave/PEMF and its benefits?

How does what you do benefit the horses?

What's the thing you enjoy most about your job?

Spending time with these majestic, trusting creatures is the highlight to my every day! I can see immediately that I am making them feel great! Even the most suspicious ones relax and enjoy their session in the first 10 minutes. The next time I arrive at the barn they know who I am and are very happy to see me!
